Regarding Sir Bob

It would appear that the dashing Sir Bob Geldof, hero of the Boomtown Rats, Live Aid & Live 8, very definitely has feet of clay. After a whirlwind visit to NZ where he informed us that our level of aid to 3rd world countries was less than half what it should be, he has gone on to a tour of Italy. Well, he started it anyway. Seems he came on stage in an auditorium that would seat 1200 to an audience of 49.. "So who is a dis a Geldof character anyway Luigi ??" After that letdown he canned the whole Italian tour. He was also asked how much money he makes & reputedly replied,"Its all mine & I'm not giving it away to anyone." Feet of clay Bob, feet of clay. As I said in my last post, its all about your level of commitment.

I'm still trying to figure out how the children living in poverty in New Zealand, albeit not the same kind of poverty, are of less importance to Bob that children in third world countries.

I'm also trying to figure out where he actually gets off telling any country how they should be spending theit taxpayer dosh.

Bob's a bit of a twat, really. Rich, but a twat nonetheless.

Its easy Morty. Or at least I think it is. The children here can suffer from poverty & die as the result of neglect & abuse by the odd one or two & if you help them nobody really gives a shit. The children in Africa suffer GRINDING poverty & if you try in however futile a fashion to help THEM specially if your a rock star you get heaps of free publicity

Yeah, but you just know that while they cant afford to eat or get clean water, they still have the energy to screw and make more babies for the world to feed for another generation... and so it goes. Its a horrible thing, but we didnt do it, we cant stop it and if their own governments are too busy stealing international aid and spending all their money on weapons, we cant do much about that, either.
